Family Units (Kudumba Kootayma)
“The family is the community in which, from childhood, one can learn moral values, begin to honour God, and make good use of freedom. Family life is an initiation into life in society.’’ (CCC- n.2207)
Syro Malabar Church, Cork has small groups of families called Family Units with an essential characteristic of Christian fellowship. The members gather at regular intervals to pray, to study and discuss the Holy Bible, and to plan various works in the community. Unit leaders are the members of the Parish Council.
